A Shabbaton is an entire weekend based around an education theme.
For Fall 2007, Congregation Beth Israel-Judea's Shabbaton is focusing on the Torah and the religious practices of how Torahs are made. The program is called the Divine Art of the Torah Scribe and features Rabbi Kevin Hale. In addition, this program will teach the conregation more about our collection of Torahs and give our kids some hands-on appreciation of the craft of Torah scribal arts.
