BIJ’S Film Series “Coming Reel Soon” Presents: Lady Kul El-Arab

Lady Kul El Arab is a powerful documentary of the first Arab-Israeli woman to attempt significant steps within the Israeli fashion world. What begins as a glamorous film about a young woman entering the Miss Israel beauty pageant turns into a moving story about a family and their daughter caught in a conflict between two cultures in which the tradition and values of her society clash with her bold efforts to chose her own way in life. This film asks the question: how far would anyone of us go in challenging authority to attain our dream.
