Congregation Beth Israel-Judea is a diverse, egalitarian and inclusive community. We encourage families, singles, empty-nesters and elders to get involved and increase their connection with God, Torah and our Jewish tradition.
We do not favor or discriminate among our members on the basis of financial standing, place in community, religious background, length of membership, gender, or gender preference. New members can assume positions of leadership as soon as they feel ready.
People do not get turned away. Everyone is welcomed.
The congregation is sustained by its excellent staff and generous volunteers in a wide range of committees and projects. In addition, synagogue organizations such as the Sisterhood and the Jewish War Veterans Post, and a variety of chavurot enrich our cultural and service options.
