Ever since the construction of the mishkan in the desert after the Exodus, we have been obligated to build our synagogue and financially support its operations and provide for the ritual, educational, social and community services it offers. The members and friends of Beth Israel Judea have been generous over the years, and it is always with grateful heart that we acknowledge them in our Bulletin.
Whether it is for a memorial, a thank-you, an acknowledgement or a simcha, BIJ has several funds that you can choose to support when you make your donation. Your act of tzedakah can then help build and maintain a certain function that has special significance to you or your beneficiary.
We have been blessed with the donation of money which has enabled us to set up some special purpose funds. These funds are on-going and can be the recipients of your tzedakah. If you are interested in setting up such a fund, please contact Sara Heckelman at the BIJ office.
